Luca Pasqualini

Short Bio

I am an high school computer science teacher at IIS Tito Sarrocchi Siena since 2021.

In 2022, I received the Ph.D. in Information Engineering and Science at the University of Siena.
My thesis, focused on Reinforcement Learning, was titled Real World Problems through Deep Reinforcement Learning. During this thesis I’ve researched on many practical applications of Reinforcement Learning and the thesis is a collection of all the proposed solutions and models.

In 2017 I obtained my Master’s Degree with honours in Computer and Automation Engineering at the same university.
The related thesis was titled “Bob@unisi.it – A conversational agent as support for students.“, developed during a research scholarship with the same title. During this thesis I learnt how to design, build and deploy a conversational agent.

I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Computer and Information Engineering at Siena, in 2015.
The thesis was titled “Project and realization of an interface prototype for DVA “. During this thesis I learnt how to design and develop a smartphone Android app.

I am generally interested in Artificial Intelligence, Natural Language Processing, Reinforcement Learning and Conversational Agents.
I love practical applications of science and I’m also very passionate about videogames development and related fields (like computer graphics and game design).
