Short Bio
Michelangelo Diligenti received his Ph.D. degree in 2002 from the University of Florence, Italy. Currently, he is Assistant Professor at the University of Siena, Italy, where he teaches the course on Software Architecture and Design. Since 2003, he has been collaborating with Google Inc., working on improving the ranking algorithms for web search. His main research interests are in the field of Machine Learning and, in particular, in aspects regarding Integration of Logic and Learning, Learning-to-Rank and Statistical Relational Learning.
