Description
The main goal of this study was to establish a link between COVID-19 lung damage and existing mutations on some genes, particularly with regard to disease severity. A regularized logistic regression model was implemented to identify a set of predictive genes for severe or mild SARS-COV-2 phenotype. Given the satisfactory result obtained, a similar approach was used to find correlations between gene mutations and the involvement of different organs and systems (considered individually).
