Description
The plant Cannabis has been used for millennia for its medical and mind-altering effects. Clinical and preclinical research efforts over the past decades, have defined many effects of cannabis on physiology and behaviour and more recent research has focused its efficacy for various medical purposes.Studies report that medical cannabis has possible benefit for several condition such as epilepsy, nausea associated with cancer chemotherapy and some evidence suggests benefits of cannabinoids for chronic pain. In this project, based on the Poli Pain Clinic studies on patients suffering from anytype of chronic pain, we implemented a prediction model able to predict theTHC-CBD dose to be prescribed, based on specific patient’s polymorphisms. Features importance was also calculated to highlight the impact of the genetic features in the prediction.
