Short Bio

Cristiano Bocci received the Laurea degree (cum laude) in Mathematics from the University of Siena, in 1999 and the Ph.D. degree in Mathematics from the University of Turin in 2004. In 2009 he joined the University of Siena, where he is currently associate professor in Geometry at the Department of Information Engineering and Mathematics.
His current research interests include algebraic and tropical geometry, combinatorial commutative algebra, algebraic statistics and their link with applied sciences.
