Short Bio
—
I’m currently a PhD student in Information Engineering and Science at the University of Siena, advised by prof. Marco Maggini and co-advised by prof. Monica Bianchini. I got my Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics in 2018, defending the thesis Esagramma Mistico di Pascal e curve in gabbia. At the end of 2020, I’ve obtained a grant from Siena University Hospital to finish my Master’s degree in Applied Mathematics, and in 2021 I’ve defended my Master’s thesis Advanced Machine Learning methods to understand the genetic mechanisms of COVID-19 severity and multi-organ involvement.
The topic of my PhD is on Explainable AI and my aim is at exploring and possibly devising new explainability methods, with a particular focus on industrial and business applications.
