Lisa Graziani (DINFO, University of Florence and DIISM, University of Siena)

February 8th, 2018 – 3:30 PM
DIISM, Artificial Intelligence laboratory (room 201), Siena SI
Description

Affective Computing is an emerging field of research that aims to enable intelligent systems to recognize, feel, infer and interpret human emotions. It is an interdisciplinary field spanning computer science, psychology, and cognitive science.

Multimodal emotion detection can be seen as the fusion of information from different modalities (visual, audio, text). The fusion of multimodal data can provide surplus information with an increase in accuracy of the overall decision. It is an important prerequisite to the successful implementation of agent-user interaction.
